Follow these tips to optimize WinMX on a Dial-Up Connection

• Open WinMX Settings by clicking on the Settings button.
• Under File Transfers in the left-hand menu select Queuing.
• Set Max Total Downloads to 1 or 2.
• Set Max Total Uploads to 1.
• Click on Bandwidth Throttle in the left-hand menu.
• Place a check mark in the box next to “Limit Incoming Bandwith” and set the amount to 4000 bytes per second.
• Place a check mark in the box next to “Limit Outgoing Bandwith” and set the amount to 2000 bytes per second.
• Close WinMX Settings by clicking the Close button.
